Nice hotel but needs some love

As already written in the last comment, the hotel would be really happy to get some attention. The room was okay but some paintings and repairworks should be done. Its such a charmfull hotel i really hope it will be here for another long time. The location is also really great. The staff was friendly.

If I could have given Hotel Konfidentiel 100 stars out of 10, it wouldn’t be enough to describe our stay. From the time we booked to check in, the communication was excellent. We arrived late in the afternoon and our hostess showed us to our apartment with a black and white French resistance theme. And took the time to explain where everything was and how the TV and air conditioner worked. Even the lift doors were themed and the room itself was gorgeous. There is only one apartment per floor and the lift is a luxury with luggage to contend with. We spoke almost no French but our hostess was fluent in English, with the most beautiful smile. The bed, pillows and bedding were superb and the well appointed bathroom was a touch of Parisian luxury. A complimentary bottle of wine and good wifi completed our delight. Breakfast is also available in the 15th century stone basement dining area. Located in the stylish 1st Arrondissement, easy walking distance to the Seine and transport, cafes and restaurants, I can’t write highly enough about our stay at this lovely hotel - except to say we’ll definitely stay here again and recommend others to discover this historic and beautiful luxury hotel - a hidden gem in Paris.

Upon arrival, Concierge was friendly. Room was clean. Location is great. Close to the Louvre (3-4 blocks) but not in the hustle and bustle of it which can at times get chaotic around there. Little bazaar like… as for the rooms, all themed around famed french people so you got to be into it because “Marie” can be a little bit in your face. Only negative is that the carpet needed to be stretched and the shampoo, body wash and conditioner bottles were reused/refilled incorrectly so at first I was washing my hair with body wash… overall good experience and my favorite thing to do was open the windows, lay in bed and here the little street cafe chatter from the room.

This hotel is everything it's cracked up to be - including very boutique. The rooms are fine (for Paris) and beautifully furnished. But there are only six narrow rooms, stacked atop one another. The staff leaves at 9 PM daily. The older Indian man who is the cleaner proudly told me that I'd be the only guest in the hotel. In fact, I was the only person in the entire building. There are certainly security measures in place. The door was allegedly alarmed. There's a phone I could have used to call for help. But the idea of being alone in a building that I cannot control nor even check the security of was....unsettling. If a fire broke out below me...if someone broke in...I'm all alone in a country whose language I am not overwhelmingly fluent in. So, YES, recommended but NOT for females travelling alone.

Pretty hotel in a great location, other than that it was awful. The WiFi and tv didn’t work. Their tv can only play from apps which run on WiFi which in turn overloaded/ slowed down their wireless router and their broadband wasn’t strong enough to support all the rooms. We asked for 2 single beds and they gave us one bed. We said it was fine but asked for at least 2 separate blankets. They said they would get it for us but they never did. The bathroom shower door was so hard to open as the floor is slanted so you had to scrape the door across the floor to open it and get in. They are only staffed 7AM-9PM so if you plan on doing late check in there will be no one there to help you be or if there are any issues.
